Education in Lucatamia
Education is one of the most important things in our great nation. Next to safety and security it is our number one priority. We praise ourselves in being one of the most educated and advanced nations. We must carry on the tradition of knowledge to our future. Public schools are the only schools that we have. They are public but also include a small fee to enter. This fee goes towards teachers and the facilities. We do have magnet programs however throughout the nation. We have specialized schools for our gifted students in the following subjects: Math, Science, English, and the Arts. We also have schools that specialize in foreign language. These schools are great for the students that want to work in our trade or international affairs offices. We teach the students languages and they should be fluent in at least three by the time they can graduate. Some may even get as high as five or even six by their senor year. The children that do not want to specialize in anything can attend our traditional schools. There are three different kids of basic schooling all children must go through. First they attend elementary school. Elementary school includes the grades pre- kindergarten through the fifth grade. After that the children move on to middle school. Middle school includes the grade six through the ninth. In tenth through the twelfth grade the students attend high schools. High school is taken very seriously. There are many sports for the students to participate in. Each of the high schools plays each other and at the end of each season they have playoffs and nationals. It is a major honor for your school to become the Lucatamia national champions. Involvement is also very important. The students are greatly encouraged to attend and support there school. There are also recreational sports at the middle school level and even the elementary level. This teaches the kids how to be focused and motivated.
Each year every student is required to take a standardized test. They must achieve a 70 percent or higher in order to pass the grade. The passing score is so high because we expect our students to maintain their grades even while participating in extra curricular activities. If you do not pass you can take a summer class and then move along the following year with your class to the next grade.
Teachers in Lucatamia are very knowledgeable and elite. There are few chosen and it is a very hard job to get and obtain. Your passing rate for students must at least be a ninety five. You must also have a specialized degree in teaching along with the subject you are going to be teaching.
Once you have graduated from high school you move on to college. College is not required but encouraged. In college you can specialize in an area you are interested in pursuing or you can take different classes to find out what you want to do. Since Lucatamia is such a knowledgeable nation you are at a great disadvantage if you do not attend college.
The educational system in Lucatamia is of the utmost importance to us. We believe children are our future and hold the answers to everything. The only thing they lack and need to acquire to become great citizens is knowledge and the ability to think critically. We pour much time into making sure our schools are the most elite and up to date.

Taxation and government spending in Lucatamia
The issue of taxes in Lucatamia will be very small and unimportant. Because Lucatamia is a fully independent country there are many jobs. All citizens that are able must work and the pay is not bad. Therefore the citizens of Lucatamia will mostly all be middle-class to high- class people. We will not raise high taxes because it is unfair to ask a man that does not have kids to pay for a man that does. Although school will not be free it will not be very costly. Schools will be very efficient, therefore not causing a lot of money. Donations will go around every year and there will be fundraisers. This way the school does not strictly rely on the parents or the government for all their funds. Although there will be some money coming in from the government it will not be enough to be able to run a school. The fundraisers will be run by the students, therefore they will learn to be creative, have management skills, and learn about business. They will also learn to work together and be on a team for one greater goal. This is a skill that the students can carry on with them all the way through life. They will learn to be successful at an early age and prosper through life. By learning and successfully fundraising the students will be able to cut costs of school while learning to become thriving citizens.
Taxes will be present in Lucatamia but definitely not overwhelming. Our goal is to reduce government spending. The government should not be taking money and cheating its citizens. The citizens worked hard to earn their living and deserve to enjoy their money. That will also help the economy because that money will eventually go to another citizen. Therefore the economy can handle itself and would be better if there were less government taxes.
The money that is obtained by the government will be going for only the things of utmost importance. Any citizen is welcome to see where every penny of their tax dollars is going. As a citizen of Lucatamia this is one of your many rights. This will insure there is no tax dollars that are being wasted.
One of the main things that the tax dollars will be going to is a police force, army, and homeland security. We mentioned before that we are fully able to stop any terrorist attack and or deal with one. This is because of our great security. Money brought in from taxes will be used for these groups. Safety is the most important thing. We want out citizens to feel they are safe in the nation of Lucatamia. By limiting our spending on transportation we will be able to have a much modernized system of security.
Our great nation was designed for its great citizens. Therefore we will try to make them happy by keeping low taxes and using the money very effectively.

Declaration of Independence from Mr. Pippin
Preamble- We the people of Lucatamia declare our independence from Mr. Pippin. We feel we deserve our independence becuase we have set up our own constitution and follow our own laws. We are fully able to take care of ourselves without his power ruling over us.
We believe that all men deserve equal rights and opportunities, that includes living and starting an independent nation of our own. We believe in the unalienable rights of men and this is one of them. This is a pursuit of happiness.
-Too much homework
-he unfairly grades our notebook
-even if we do our homework but don't write it down he gives us C's
-he gives hard tests
-he makes glue everything into our notebooks
-he gives so much classwork one can never finish and then has even more homework than the already ton he has given
We the class of 3A has told him that he gives too much homework yet he still does it. We have also tryed to reason with him about his tests, yet he still gives hard tests and quizzes.
The people Of Lucitamia declare that we are a free nation. We no longer are associated with Mr. Pippin.

Lucatamia is fully prepared in case of an act of terrorism directed towards our nation. If an attempt of terrorism is found out about we will completely shut down and ground all airplanes and contact cities where incoming planes are coming from to stop the flights. Our homeland security is watching and tapping into wires of any suspicious countries for any details or threats. If a threat is taken we are not afraid to arrest or search. We also have a special police force that is ready for any attack. They have stations set up around the nation and also have trucks that can race to any emergency. If we are caught by surprise and do not pick up on the attack, we will be 100% ready to distribute aid to our citizens. We also will not stand for terrorism. We have a zero tolerance for it. We will find out who did it and will destroy them. We will bomb their country and send troops to demolish them, although, if it is only one group we will devote most of our time and money to find and capture them. We will have a group that has although the equipment and knowledge that will devote all time to finding these terrorists. They also will not be let off easy. We will show the world that you cannot mess with Lucatamia. We will follow after President Bush’s footsteps and not let other countries attack us without justice. There are also many things that we will be doing inside of our country. Our borders will be tightly monitored. No one will be let in without a background check, passport, birth certificate, and a valid identification. We will not allow members to board planes without a background check. We also will thoroughly check all bags taken on board as well as the bags that are being checked. Along with that security we also will have an armed guard aboard every flight coming into or out of our country. This will insure that no one is able to hijack a plane. To insure bombing does not occur within the country, every vehicle entering must drive through a check. It also must be pulled over and checked thoroughly by hand. We will protect ourselves from terrorist attacks and insure they do not happen. We are capable to figure out any plots. Like the British if there is a plot we will find it out and arrests the suspects before they can enter on a flight towards and in our nation. Although we are so confident we will catch terrorists before they attack us we are also aware we cannot stop everything. Therefore we are ready to act when the situation arises. We will make sure number one that our citizens are ok and get the attention and help that they would need. Secondly we would alert everyone and be one the look out for anything suspicious. Constitution of Lucatamia
The Constitutional Monarchy of Lucatamia promises equal rights and opportunities for all its citizens. The government provides protection and comfort to its citizens. It will make sure no one shall go hungry or suffer. All will be taken care of no matter how poor or how sick. Every citizen is a special member of the community. The elderly will be taken care of along with the orphans. No one shall live a life of despair.
The referrals are elected every two years. They serve as the main form of government. They are elected by the people and vote on major decisions. There is one head of the referrals. He or she heads the weekly meetings and keeps the peace. He is voted upon by the people and the referrals. They will talk about war and let the people vote. They decide on all political decisions with of course the consent of the people.
All citizens are granted individual freedoms. They are granted the rights to make ones own life better. They freedoms include simple things like freedom of speech, press, petition, and religion. Any citizen may practice these things and not fear being punished by the government.
Immigrants are welcome into our counrty. They must be sworn in and promise to obey all laws. They also must promise to make a positive contribution to society and also not be a burden to the country.
Laws of Lucatamia
Thou shall not kill
Thou shall not steal
Thou shall not smoke any substance including tobacco
You can’t work more than 20 hours a week
You must have a least one vacation every two months
You must have Mexican food once a month
Kids can only spend 20 hours a week in school
Teachers are not allowed to give homework
